Overview

Learn the universal discipline of internal auditing based on ISO 19011:2018 — the Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems. This intensive two-day programme provides internal auditors and management system coordinators with a comprehensive, standard-agnostic foundation applicable to any ISO management system including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22301, 37001 and 21001.

Participants leave with a complete audit planning toolkit — audit programme template, audit plan, interview question bank, checklist framework, and NC statement drafting guide — applicable immediately to their management system context.

Learning Objectives

This course will prepare you to:

Auditing
Apply all seven ISO 19011:2018 audit principles, design a risk-based annual audit programme, prepare complete audit plans, conduct opening meetings, gather evidence using document review, structured interviewing, process observation and trail auditing, and manage audit sampling strategies.
Reporting
Identify, classify and evidence nonconformities as Major, Minor or Observations using the C-C-E-E structure, write defensible nonconformity statements, conduct closing meetings, manage auditee pushback, verify corrective action effectiveness, and build and sustain an internal audit function over time.
